This page explains how to participate in the Imam Mahdi (May Allah Hasten His Faraj) debate program: study resources, complete the quiz, and (if selected) participate in debate.

Study the resources

Enrol in Imam Mahdi (May Allah Hasten His Faraj) - Course Use the provided lessons (specially Lesson6 and Lesson9), lectures and archived sessions as your main study guide.

Take the quiz

In Quiz section of the page, take part in Quiz - Lesson 6 and Quiz - Lesson 9. You should be logged in to be able to take quiz.

Attend the program

A number of participants are selected for the prizes and in‑person debate in the program (limited seats).

Debate: Key Statements for Discussion

In this debate, participants will critically examine and respond to the following common statements related to Imam al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten His faraj) and the time of occultation. Teams will analyze these claims, identify misconceptions, and present evidence-based responses grounded in Islamic teachings.

Statements to be discussed

  1. “Waiting for Imam Mahdi (may Allah hasten His faraj) means doing nothing and simply waiting for his return, without taking any responsibility or action in society.”
  2. “If we do not see or interact with Imam Mahdi (may Allah hasten His faraj) directly, we cannot have a meaningful relationship with him.”
  3. “Imam Mahdi (may Allah hasten His faraj) is completely hidden, and we cannot benefit from him in any way until his reappearance.”
  4. “The Imam is absent and disconnected from us during the occultation, so there is no need to feel accountable for our actions until his return.”

Participants are expected to demonstrate clear understanding, correct misconceptions respectfully, and explain what authentic belief and responsibility look like during the time of occultation.

FAQ

Do I need to submit anything?

No additional submission is required for this program. The main requirement is completing the online quiz based on the provided lessons. There are three required quiz. Two of them are multiple choice and one is essay.

Is the program in English?

Yes. The program is primarily in English. The anthem/song section may include non-English lyrics.

Is the program only for youth?

OneHorizon focuses on youth and young adults, but this public program is open to everyone. Families are welcome—especially parents attending with their youth.

How will selected participants be contacted?

Selected participants will be contacted by email using the address provided during registration. Please double-check that your email is entered correctly.
